Experience · Photography & Film

The same day,
held two ways.

A photograph holds an instant. Film keeps the voices, movement and atmosphere around it. When both are commissioned, I plan them as one coverage rather than two teams chasing the same day.

Wedding photography and cinematic film in Italy, California, and for select celebrations worldwide.

One visual direction

Not two crews
negotiating
for the day.

Photography and film should not ask a moment to happen twice. Both begin from the same conversation about what you want kept, and both work to the timeline that comes out of it.

When both are commissioned, I remain responsible for how the two parts fit together. I lead the photography and the visual direction; a trusted filmmaker works alongside me. On larger commissions, the team expands only where the schedule genuinely requires it.

The result is one coverage with two forms — coordinated around the same light, movement, people, and priorities.

01

The instant

Still photographs hold expression, gesture, light, place, and the details that reveal themselves in a fraction of a second. Together, they become the complete visual archive of the celebration.

Time and sound

Film keeps what a still image cannot carry on its own: voices, movement, music, pauses, and the changing energy of a room.

03

One memory

Commissioned together, photography and film are planned as a single narrative. Working from one timeline is what keeps a moment from being asked to happen twice for a second camera.

How the two work together

One brief.
One timeline.
One story.

Before the wedding

We talk about the shape of the celebration before we talk about cameras. I review the timeline, the movement between spaces, the light, the words that should be preserved, and the moments that should remain completely uninterrupted.

On the day

I lead the coverage. When film is commissioned, a trusted filmmaker works alongside me from the same plan. We guide when direction improves the image and step back when the moment already has everything it needs.

The final work

The photographic gallery and the film are edited under one visual direction, so the gallery and the film sound like the same day.

The words
you did not know
you would miss.

The value of film is not simply that it moves. It is hearing a voice before the ceremony, the room reacting to a speech, the breath before an answer, and the sound of a place around the people in it.

Signature coverage can also preserve the ceremony and speeches in full, alongside a cinematic feature film shaped with storytelling voiceover.

Three days,
three ways
of moving.

All three were photographed and filmed under one direction. It is the ordinary working method of a Tuscany wedding photographer and filmmaker, and it is the same method behind destination wedding photography and film anywhere else.

He brought together an exceptional team for both our welcome party and wedding day, and every member brought talent, warmth, and attention to detail. We were blown away by the final photos and videos.

Before you write Eight questions
Who photographs and who films the wedding?

I lead the photography and the overall visual direction. For combined photography and film coverage, a trusted filmmaker works alongside me. Everyone who will be there is named in the proposal before you book.

How large is the photography and film team?

It varies with the day. It can be one photographer; it can be one photographer and one filmmaker. For larger guest counts, or where the logistics call for it, an additional hybrid photo and video operator joins them. A further person dedicated to social content can also be added; the question below sets out what they deliver and when.

What does the social content add-on include, and when does it arrive?

A person shooting vertical content alongside the wedding coverage, photographs and video both. The unedited clips are transferred the same night, so you can post from the celebration itself. The first reel follows within forty-eight hours and a second within seventy-two. The remaining edited clips arrive within the week; how many there are depends on the collection and is written into the proposal before you book.

What is the difference between a highlight film and a feature film?

The highlight film is a concise cinematic account of the wedding day. The feature film allows more space for people, place and spoken words, and includes storytelling voiceover. Exact deliverables are stated clearly in the proposal.

Are the ceremony and speeches recorded in full?

Complete ceremony and speeches recordings are included in Signature Experience. They arrive alongside the cinematic feature film; the feature film is still made.

Can photography and film include the welcome dinner?

Yes. Welcome dinners, welcome parties and other events can be added to the wedding-day coverage. Multi-day celebrations receive one tailored proposal and one coordinated visual direction.

Can photography be booked without film?

Yes. Photography is available as a complete commission on its own. If you are considering film without photography, include it in your enquiry and I will confirm what is possible for the date and location.

How do we choose the right coverage?

Begin with the day itself: how long it runs, how many of you there are, and what you would be sorry not to have. The Investment page explains the starting collections; after learning more about the day, I will recommend the coverage that fits without adding what you do not need.
