Terms

Terms of
use.

These cover the website itself — the pages, the photographs on them, and the form. They are not the terms of a commission. If you book me, a separate written agreement covers the work, the fee, the deliverables and the licence, and that agreement governs, not this page.

Who runs this site

This site is run by Stefano Casati, a wedding photographer working from California, United States. Questions about this notice, or a request to see, correct or delete what is held about you, go to info@stefanocasati.com, which I read myself.

The photographs

Every photograph and every film on this site was made by me and is protected by copyright. You are welcome to look at them, to link to any page, and to share a link.

You may not copy, download, reproduce, crop, re-edit, apply your own filters to, print, publish or use any image from this site for any purpose, commercial or personal, without my written permission. That includes use in a mood board that is published, in an advertisement, on a supplier’s website, and as training data for a machine-learning system.

Suppliers who worked on a wedding shown here are welcome to ask for images to use with credit — the answer is usually yes, and it takes one message.

The writing

The text on this site is mine as well. It is written rather than assembled, which is why it reads as though a person wrote it, and the same rule applies to it as to the photographs.

The people in the photographs

Every wedding published here is published with the couple’s agreement. Surnames, addresses, guest lists and any private detail from a planning document are never on this site. If you appear in a photograph here and would rather not, write to me and I will take it down — you do not have to give a reason.

What the pages promise

Prices, collections and availability shown here are indicative and can change. Nothing on this site is an offer that binds me; a date is only held once a contract is signed and a retainer is paid.

The practical notes on the location and venue pages — when the light goes, how long a drive takes, which months are best — come from days I actually photographed. They are my experience, not a guarantee, and a venue’s own rules, capacity and prices are the venue’s to state, not mine.

Nothing is bought or sold here

Nothing is bought or sold on this website. There is no shop, no checkout, no payment form and no way to enter card details. No booking is confirmed and no contract is concluded here. A commission begins with an enquiry, continues as a conversation, and is agreed in a separate written contract signed away from this site.

So there is nothing on this site to return, cancel or refund, and no order to track. If you have signed an agreement for a wedding, the cancellation and refund terms are in that agreement.

Using the enquiry form

Send your own information, not somebody else’s. Automated submissions are filtered and discarded. What happens to what you send is described on the privacy page.

Availability

I will keep this site up and correct, but I do not promise it will never be unavailable, and I am not liable for loss arising from it being unreachable or from an error on a page.

What these terms cover, and what they do not

These terms govern the use of this website: reading it, looking at the photographs, and writing through the enquiry form. That is their whole scope.

They do not govern the work. Photography, filmmaking, booking, cancellation, payment and delivery are governed by the separate written agreement signed for that commission — including which law applies to it and where any dispute about it is heard. Those are settled in the agreement, for that agreement, and not here.

Where these terms and a signed agreement ever disagree, the signed agreement controls. It is the one you actually entered into.
