They asked for two things: to see more than one place, and for me to choose where the sun would go down. So we started at Relais Villa Vittoria, walked the lanes and the water steps of the village, and finished on the baroque staircase in the park at Tremezzina with the lake going pale behind them. The two words they had chosen were classic and romantic.

An hour on the
lake, before
it counts
This is the European half of an argument this site makes twice: an hour in front of the camera months before the wedding is worth more than any amount of reassurance. By the end of it a couple knows what I do and I know how they are with each other, and neither of us is finding that out on the morning of the day.
On this lake it buys something else as well. Three locations in three hours is only possible if somebody already knows which staircase faces west, how long the road to Tremezzina really takes, and where you can stop a boat. That is the whole job, and it is easier to prove in June than to promise in a message.
