A white horse,
and an October
evening
Lake Oak Meadows · Temecula, California
Rust and burnt orange in October, a pond with willows over it, and — between the ceremony and dinner — a white horse and an open carriage on the drive. The party went on under string lights until the glow sticks came out.

An autumn
palette, and
a pond
Lake Oak Meadows is built around water — a pond with willows coming down to it and a bridge across the end — which is why an October wedding here looks like October rather than like California in permanent summer.
The florals were rust, burnt orange and cream, and the bridesmaids were in four different shades of the same. That is a harder thing to photograph than one colour and a better thing to look at afterwards.
