Linen, dunes,
and the sea
instead of
a villa
The Tuscan coast · Tuscany
A shoot on the Tuscan coast, made entirely out of what a beach gives you: white linen, wind, marram grass, bare feet and an hour of low sun. No architecture, no flowers on a table — two people, sand, and cloth moving.

Cloth, wind,
and nothing

The same light

half of
the year
This is the Italian shoot that looks most like California, and it was not planned that way. A dune, an open shirt and a low sun photograph the same on either coast.
Which is the useful thing it left behind: the coastal weddings I photograph in Orange County and San Diego are lit exactly like this, and the decisions were made here first.
